I agree that people can get together and pressure a processor to stop processing for something they are improperly/illegally benefiting from. However, without securing content, finger printing content, actively sending dmca's (automated, correctly formatted etc - to site owner, host and registrar) - there is no point in chest pounding about a fake ccbill announcement.
They don't give a fuck about anything or anyone. Their tools suck, their stats suck, they've always sucked and their own stats system has always barely even loaded and they have always been in the middle of dubious transactions and as i'm sure you know, you can't just dump a huge volume of high risk transactions without causing cb ratios to skyrocket - risking all their processing. Every shady source of transactions has to be replaced for the simple fact that they can't balance cb ratios. That's why you have shit like them processing for the markethealth.com pill scams - "Free free free....!!!!" - until you read the fine print and see your credit card getting hit for $90.00 for a bottle of pills that cost $5.00 to make in addition to "bonus offers - for your convenience"
When you're trying to stay below 1.00% CB's in high risk processing... you can't afford a hit in transaction volume, no matter what public proclamation is made.
Besides.. this "whack a mole" thing has been going on for over a decade now. Net result - zero impact.
BTW... i have always liked you. I understand that as a producer, you have a very different perspective than a non producer and that its a very emotional thing for many, where it really isn't for me.
