Do not give a fuck about Google. You're not competing with FaceBook and The Huffington Post. Make a site that people want to visit and come back to.

You can create something honest - something that you enjoy working on - or you can be a fool and spend all your time chasing Google's ever-changing rules - rule that Google itself would never, ever follow.

Make an honest site that people like to visit - or go all blackhat and change domains and servers every other week.

Google is about as useful and relevant as MySpace is.
