Indeed it is. I saw this terrible 'suit' a few months ago, along with a storyline leak, but I think the studio claimed it wasn't accurate. From those pics, it looks like it unfortunately is real. Not only have they 'updated' Robocop to look like every other movie superhero these days, they apparently even have a scene in the remake where they show the original design to criminals, who start laughing at, saying it looks like a toy from the 80s.
IOW, not content with making what will be definitely be a piss poor remake, they shit all over the original too.

Robocop II isn't that bad, though nowhere near as great as the original.

Dredd is actually the reason we have Robocop. Apparently the writer couldn't get the rights to do a Dredd movie, so we got Robocop instead.
