Or maybe it will just all come out in 20 or 30 years. The things that happened in the UK in the 70s, and even 80s, are absolutely sickening and unreadable

It seems like absolutely every children's home in the UK was used and run by child abusers, many of whom were famous and well connected -- celebrities, police, judges and politicians -- which is presumably how they got away with it.
That and the fact that most people, naturally, don't like to hear about it, or find it unbelievable that people can behave like that.
