But sometimes you get a guy in the moment and he shines. Zito rocked, their closer Romo rocked and they pulled it off. I'm glad for them. There are several guys on that team that I like and root for and the Kung Fu Panda is officially part of World Series lore.

I have been a Giants fan since the mid-60's. TBH, I did not really have time to follow the season and when the Giants made it to the NLCS I was pleasantly surprised but because of what I read and heard I did not have much hope.
When they won the NLCS everything I heard was that they did not stand a chance. I remember on game 7 the announcer saying that Detroit had to be loving all the days off; I thought that was odd. When I was a lad, too many days off usually worked against you and I made that comment to whomever would listen. When I heard their opening pitcher was 7-0 I realized that the game had changed a ton. In my youth 20 wins meant something. 7-0 would have been a relief pitcher.
