Yes, there was a ton of protest and coverage over it. Where were you from 2001 to 2008? Troop deaths were constantly talked about and there were protests in the streets. There were congressmen and senators making statements about US soldiers terrifying Iraqi civilians, and about civilians rights being trampled. Code Pink was getting daily coverage for their "sit in" outside the Bush Ranch for 2 months, etc, etc, etc,....

Now move to today, and interestingly more have been killed in Afghanistan under Obama, but the daily casualty count by the New York Times stopped the day he took office. The Democrats don't care about drones killing babies, or soldiers killed, or coverups over American diplomats being killed. If it's Obama doing it, it's ok. All the protests seem to have stopped, and most of the media has stopped covering it.

This is the problem with "team" politics. This thread is a perfect example. There is no sense of right, or wrong, there is only, "Well, the OTHER guys did it first!", or "The OTHER guys did worse things".

So it just points out that NO ONE cares who gets killed or what gets covered up. You all only care about "getting the other guys", and "defending my guys". No matter what they do.

Pretty sad folks, pretty sad.
