Honey is awesome stuff. It's antibacterial, so you can spread it on a wound to keep it clean. Also great as a source of sugar, energy, etc. Also - no crops without bees
If you are sending a group of guys up a tree in the forest once a month to go raid a wild bees nest for honey, wouldn't it make sense to keep those bees in a box that you could access easily?
