Yes, you need to be a registered agent with NAR (National Association of Realtors) to use the IDX stuff.
I'm pretty sure that is the only way you can get up-to-date and legitimate information on what properties are currently listed for sale, sold, rentals, etc in the U.S at the present time.
I'd also advise your clients, if they are doing so, that they should not use the words:
Realty
Realtor
NAR
IDX
MLS
If they aren't actually registered agents, the NAR is actually
VERY militant when it comes to protecting their trademarks and IP rights.
