I inherited the bad teeth gene as well - my old man had his all pulled in his early 20s. Mine at least lasted until I was close to 40. Spent a fortune on them over the years...but endured dozens of killer infections. The last one (before I had'em all pulled) gave me a 104F fever for three days solid - I was hallucinating and would've put a gun to my head if one was handy. When the infection finally passed, I decided immediately to have'em all extracted and be done with it.
Never regretted the decision.
