Japan is actually the #1 country in the world for "transit" trafficking. Meaning girls are sent there first and then sent elsewhere after. It is an in-between country. The Japanese are monsters when it comes to trafficking women, still to this day. That doesn't happen without help from the right people with the right connections.

It boggles my mind also how these guys get into the heads of these woman and control them, seemingly, with ease. i heard of one case in canada where a guy would put a hot curling iron into the pussy of a girl who didn't make enough money in a night then send her out to work all burned. and she kept going back time and time again. what the hell is going on their brains to keep them going back? i don't really get it but i've never lived it either. eventually they might take off but do they turn the guy in? nope, just leave him out there to do it to someone else.
i'd imagine a good number of the girls from out of the country come here, like you say to work a job then it turns out to be something else. i don't know how easy it is or how it all works but if the guys bringing them in have a legit business as well so they can say shes coming here for x, how does immigration prove otherwise? there was a law passed not long ago that made it illegal to bring girls over here to work in strip joints. the idea was many of these women being brought in to strip are really being brought into for prostitution.
