Exactamundo. I am sure the rest of us would enjoy having a quarter of our calendar year off and not having to work, yet still getting paid/benefits and alike. Which is the point. You get more vacation or time off than most other people. So you do get some benefit from the teaching job that others do not have who are lucky to get 1-2 weeks off a year.

sure you get 2 weeks off (2 weeks is mandatory at least here in canada) but at a lot of places the more seniority you have the more you get. i know people who have been working at the same place for 15 years that get 5-6 weeks vacation.
