Yeah that's frustrating. He has had his cut too short a few times, or had someone screw it up and he hates that in between stage. I really like the short sides, and the longer top... you can do a lot of different looks with the top if you have the right product. He uses this stuff called Night Rider by Kevin Murphy. Look into it if you need product. It's perfect for holding it however you want without making it too crunchy or stiff.
