We didn't have to spend all this money and build up a giant military to enter WW2 and win that.
But now? With no "real" wars and no "real" country that our enemy...we spend enough goddamned money to feed every starving person on Earth.
And the sequester didn't even really cut the military budget. It "cut" the amount it increased.
