Ponzi scheme - north of $35,000
Guy was a good friend of one of my close friends. Faked letters that he worked from a bank and was getting a 5-6% return per year, so nothing to fishy. Even provided fake tax forms.
years and years ago I bought a camera off eBay. paid average selling price, about $600 bucks and got a box in the mail with a picture of the camera in it. contacted paypal and they said he delivered the item because it had tracking. nothing on the eBay ad said it was a picture. Contacted police, they did nothing.
