Thoughts please
Let's make this story quick:-
1. Bought nice wheels with tyres at scrap yard
2. Didn't fit properly, scrap yard guy took a while to find replacements
A Week Later
3. Went to collect wheels, scrapyard man acted like he had done me a big favor by taking the wheels of his own car, so now apparently his car has no wheels.
4. Asks me if he can have my current wheels once I've switched over, he didn't offer money for them, seemed to as good as assume he could have them.
He's not getting the wheels I want them as spares, but what I find can't work out is if he thinks it's normal to be able to take my old wheels off me free of charge i.e. deluded, or he this is some kind of subtle negotiation tactic where you first start by seeing if you can get something for free, despite the fact you know that it's completely unreasonable? If I was in his shoes I would have made a fair offer if I wanted the wheels.
Is he a) Deluded, b) a Cunning Fox or c) Something I haven't thought of yet?
