But did you ever stop to wonder why the unions are against this?
It's pretty simple. If the government lowers healthcare below the "special deals" unions have put in place to "protect their workers", why would anyone need the collective bargining powers of the unions? Unions get people good benefits, better wages, and better working conditions. Take away one of the three things the unions do for their members, and well, suddenly the unions aren't nearly as important.
