The true scientific relevance here is that we are actually watching the most powerful placebo treatment on earth.
Western doctors have reported much success with placebo treatment using pills and injections of a placebo.
Those pills/injections do nothing more for the patient than a slap on the head.
It is the belief of receiving the best treatment that causes the body's "self heeling mechanisms" to start working.
The treatment has no effect on people who don't believe it will work.
