As for the myth that they have a lower infant mortality rate than the USA...is because they do not keep the same stats. The biggest difference is that they as many other countries do not have the capability or facilities to care for premature births and the U.S. does...and the death rate on the first day of these births is around 30-40 percent. Cuba and many other countries do not count these as live briths but as fetuses.
