Not everyone has a lawyer on retainer. They are outrageously expensive. Who needs lawyers the most? People who are magnets for getting into situations involving the police and the courts, like O.J. and George Zimmerman.
The only two accidents of my life that required medical attention were both job related at a the same 9 to 5 employer that provided 100% paid for health care. Oh, the irony.
