You then try and back peddle out of your asinine remark saying more a less, 'oh I mean, you do not have to drive so you do not need auto insurance', which most people knew that was not the context of the previous remarks otherwise you would have said as much at the time you made the point. It was only when you were called out on the carpet you tried to back peddle out it.
