Scientific research labs, most recently exploring a new type of meningitis in Hawaii and water quality in Tarpon Bay Florida are now closed. "Head Start", the health and nutrition program for low income kids has stopped. Preschools have closed in Calhoun Country, Alabama. Over 60,000 civilian employees at 16 US Intelligence agencies are now without work.
