One can plug a network hard drive and printer straight into it.
i bought this one recently too. i got it for 129 plus taxes from newegg.ca with a promo code. is it overkill? i don't know, i was having trouble with range with my isp router/modem combo. no problem now. the admin panel is great too. though i hear ac routers are even better but if your wireless card doesn't support it, its pointless.
