there is always some kind of "management" of funds with any organisation...they live from it and they help, thats their business...nothing wrong in it...still better than doing nothing and complaining...
and as for Red Cross - I saw how they operate in Dominican Republic...They give values for young people, they offer them activities, self development possibilities and trips abroad.... So it is good work

I have also heard that the Red Cross had to pay the government money to enter into Aceh to start the relief efforts. The red cross received over 2 billion dollars in donations for the tsunami fund and I will kiss you ass if half of that was spent in the region.
Look, I am not saying the red cross is a bad organization. But if you think 95% of donations(including logistics) go to the people in need, you are living on fantasy island. It is more efficient than sending cash to these governments, so it is a good option to get some relief to people in need. Let's be honest, it is far from perfect.
