I don't mind discussing it further - I'm still new to it myself. The most informative forum I've found for it so far is e-cigarette-forum.com. It has a wealth of in-depth discussions.

My question is...How do you know that this stuff isn't as bad or worse for you than cigarettes? Are there any Federal regulations in place for the manufacture of this stuff?
Personally, I've been told to be wary of the backroom shop e-juice suppliers. The place we buy from (Novellus in Niagara Falls, NY) deals with a supplier that mixes the solutions ina lab setting - and has their solutions tested by a GMP laboratory in accordance with CFR 21 - code of federal food & drug regulations. It's routinely tested for consistency and quality by an independent lab.

To my knowledge, there is no federal regulations in Canada governing the e-liquid (yet). Technically its considered illegal to advertise and distribute - but not possess. But there's no enforcement of the laws at this stage.

Good question - and who knows. Time will tell. But from what I've read and the research I've done (so far)...I'd wager heavily that vaping is far less harmful to the health than cigarettes.
