I have a huge problem with local cats in my backyard. They are pissing all over, often inside holes for ventilation of my car. That means that I need to smell piss,while i am driving. This is terrible, and they are also sleeping on car roof (convertible with soft roof) and often,cats are sharping claws on it.

I am trying to somehow catch them and drive far away so I've bought human trap and until now, not a single cat was caught.

Don't ask me how..they manage to run away or even eat food inside without closing trap (last night they had potatoes and beef and when I went out to see what is going on, there was a cat sitting near trap with her stomach full..just looking at me).

So, while I am trying to catch them somehow, I should at least try to make them avoid my space an d I was thinking to put something that they don't like and can be outside.

So, questions is: Are there some smells they don't like ?
