Yes, GDP per capita, PPP. Wikipedia data is pulled from IMF, World Bank, and CIA. The numbers differ, but paint similar picture.

Which is why you use HDI (or even better the HDI adjusted for inequality) to measure the quality of life - it takes into account GDP per capita, education, life expectancy, etc.
