Thanks.

As far as CPC and search volume goes, I haven't looked at the numbers in a long time.

There are a lot of more specific keyword searches that lead to cardio machines as well -- e.g. for "exercise bike", "elliptical machine", "rowing machine", "treadmill", etc. All those have search volumes of their own (including awkward long-tail searches). So with some written content and products for sale, CardioMachines.com should be found by the sum total of those searches.

CardioMachines.com is sort of the umbrella term, the one that defines the category. At an actual gym, all those machines are typically grouped in one area with the weights somewhere else.

Put it this way ... EllipticalMachines.com is a good domain. So is ExerciseBike.com. But it would be weird to sell exercise bikes on EllipticalMachines.com or to sell ellipticals on ExerciseBike.com. Doesn't fit the brand name. But CardioMachines.com is all encompassing.

Customers can latch onto CardioMachines.com as a brand name, no matter which type of machine they're looking for. Say I'm looking for, say, a rower. If I see CardioMachines.com in search results, then I'll probably click there first. The site is likely to contain rowers AND give me other options to compare. Meanwhile, Rowers.com would mean fewer options. So I'd personally click on CardioMachines.com before I'd click on Rowers.com even if looking for a rower.
