Stewart's my favorite driver. That being said I have never been a fan of "slumming it" in auto racing. By this I mean racing against the general public at small tracks. Stewart and others show up at these races with unlimited budgets, advanced skill levels in driving and full-time professional mechanics.

Kevin's World; Kevin Ward, aspiring cart and dirt track racer primarily sponsored by the family's local painting business, Westward Painting Co.

Tony's World; Tony Stewart, Former Indy Car Racing Champion and 3 time NASCAR champ.
Stewart-Haas Racing has almost a $100,000,000 per year in revenue. Gene Haas his racing partner and financial backer is sole owner of Haas Automation a world leader in machine tools with 2012 revenue just shy of One Billion Dollars.

Tony, 3 time NASCAR Champ.

Tony, Indy Car Champ.

Stewart and others race on dirt tracks as a hobby or for fun between their super-speedway NASCAR races. What could go wrong mixing the two, right? And from a competitive point of view if Stewart wins at a dirt track so what, he should have.
