I've heard from some folks that I know in higher positions lately that the adult industry is getting cheap.
My experience over the last year or so with hiring is; you have to steal people from other companies. That means overpaying and pricing the candidate out of the market. Especially in markets like LA, NYC, EU.
There is a shortage of great talent. Sure there are the job hoppers out there that are very visible and tell everyone how awesome they are. If you're low balling in the tech space these days, you're not getting the top talent. I'm defining top talent as very senior level programmers and VP and above executive level talent.
Mainstream is gobbling up anyone they can find for more than top dollar. If adult doesn't continue to snag top talent at top compensation packages, it will continue to fall further behind as the B teams work in adult and mainstream owns all the top talent.
Just a thought.
