The politically incorrect explanation is that the introduction of Neanderthal DNA made the European and Asian populations more level headed as a group. Neanderthal was not athletic and thus may not have tended towards impulse violence. It is not a stretch to hypothesise that the non-Africans that Neanderthal was cross-breeding with inherited genes related to that.
