There were 12 others then with similar stories who could have all filed a suit that same year and most likely got a settlement, but none did and none are now. The only reason for this resurgence of allegations has nothing to do with the women. A comedian hannibal buress called cosby a rapist in his stand up routine a few months back. His routine went viral and brought the sealed case from 2006 out into mainstream news. Many of his accusers now never knew about the court case in 2006 and decided now was the time to come forward.

at this point it's just bullshit. To date there has not been enough evidence to press charges, and in any event the statue of limitations has passed and charges cannot be filed. So all we have are accusations that can never be proved.
