Nearly half of all US soldiers that served in Iraq and Afghanistan signed up for disability. A lot of these people are receiving money for things that have nothing to do with their military service.
The VA hospital controversy that the media covered earlier this year was the result of fraud cases flooding the VA at a faster rate than the doctors could see patients. The fraud, however, was never brought up in this discussion.
