Email from new customer...

"I would like to cancel my trial membership after it's 3 day course, apparently this would be on 1/8 or 1/9 depending on how you verify and when you consider the trial to begin and if it is exactly 3 days post the request for the trial.

Either way I wish to have said trial to be the only amount my card is charged unless I request longer. Further if there are any other memberships involved with the trial I don't want any of them to continue beyond any trial that is mentioned in your TOS.

Plain and simple I want the trial and the trial only.

I do not give any authorization to charge my CC any more than the aforementioned trial price of $6.95.

I am sorry to be so anal about this but have been screwed over by trials in the past and want it quite clear that I don't want to be charged more than the $6.95 I originally ok'd.

Please contact me with any issues and/or with notification that the trial and any other trial that may or may not be included are verified for cancellation or canceled.

Thank you for your attention to this matter."

My response:

"Hi,

Your trial has been cancelled and will simply expire after.

You know, this is not an over dramatic request. Our industry has been poisoned by guys who charge a simple trial and then hit the same card with 3 or 4 other transactions. A $1 trial can easily add up to $150 or so 3 days later. It is the guys that have done this that have created huge problems with accepting payments online and literally taken a 10+billion industry to about 10% of that value.

Anyways, your trial will not renew and no further charges will occur.
