Correct... the dutch only founded some US cities: for example New York... (New Amsterdam) and kolonised the whole area from New Hampshire to Maryland (New-Netherlands).
To give you an idea of importance of Dutch influence.... The state of New York wrote all it's official State Documents in English AND Dutch till as late as only 80 years ago...
The Netherlands are/is everywhere in the US till this day on...

Your Declaration of Independence, was written and based on: Plakkaat van Verlatinghe (Dutch independence statement against Spain, in 1581). Your constitution was based on Dutch polity. The Dutch funded the war of independence with money and weapons and were the first country to recognize America.
