This should be a sign to you that it is to be avoided; "the community" consistently backs scams. In the case of bc.i, the scam is in letting javascript in your web browser generate your private keys. There are at least a couple of problems with this:
- It's unlikely to use an effective source of entropy
- It's susceptible to a "man in the middle" attack
You should better run
your own full node using code written by
members of the WoT. If you have any questions, the developers are usually
available for comment.
