I have tried both, as most others here also have.

Niftystats is cheaper all around. A little price comparison:

Program Subscription time
NiftyStats 1 month, $19.95 3 months, $49.95, 12 months, $199.00
StatsRemote 1 month, $29.99, 3 months, $84.99, 6 months $159.00, 12 months $299.00

StatsRemote gives a more solid impression to me, while Niftystats have a more modern and platic look and feel. Softer, rounder edges and more "fluff".

NiftyStats have more graphs and bar charts, which some might find useful.

If I were either program, I would certainly make an import function, to make the switch from one program over to mine much easier. Because now, once started with one program with stats and passwords entered all over, it is very time consuming to set it all up again in the other program.

I use StatsRemote myself and is very happy with it. Stable and reliable, consumes very low resources and I know my way around it. To me, that is worth the extra dollar per month, so that I do not have to learn something new or different just for checking stats.
