Of course it's a fucking drug, but not all drugs are equal. Not all drugs are addictive. You can overdose on some but not on others (like the active component in pot). Some are synthetic and some are natural.

The point is that the government and/or religion has brainwashed people like you into thinking in black and white terms about "DRUGS".
Learn to think for YOURSELF and you might enjoy it...unless you are one of the many who actually enjoy letting others tell you what to think, act and feel.
