This reminds me ... Years ago 60 Minutes ran a story about an old alcoholic bum that won a large state lottery. The bum claimed he and Bulger were joint owners of the ticket.
The bum got instant prestig/protection and first class treatment in Bulger owned bars and Bulger got an honest source of income that pissed off law enforcement.
Pretty good story.
