+ she and her family were smart, since the serial # was scratched off, it's stolen property. can't keep it. i wonder what would happen if someone walked in off the street into a gold store and tried to sell a brick of gold with the serial # scratched off? i'd imagine many shop owners would call the cops right then and there, then that family would have a lot of explaining to do.
