I had a similar experience to Sly's. I had a 40 something inch Sony that after 2 years developed a yellow irregular spot that slowly grew larger and larger.
I also had a Sony Artisan color correcting monitor that would periodically "pop" while you were staring at the screen really surprising you and fucking up your eyes.
Sony refused to warrant either one. Fuck em.
