I call it being a sane normal adult.. Religion has always been for the weak minded who need to be controlled and have excuses for things being the way they are.. It's a mental disorder..

Atheist means just that, in your words atheist = sane normal adult (in regards to religion).
It is no big deal that it has a specific word. I mean would you be offended if instead of "atheist" they would say "non believer"?
It is merely a word to identify non believer, not some "group"
