The 85k 2016 and 100k 2017 numbers are just goals and includes all refugees from around the world. Not just Syrians. Africans, etc. The chances of us hitting those goals are zero. Much like our official unemployment numbers. Fantasy.
Since 2012 to last month only 1,854 Syrians have been allowed into the US. The current goal for just Syrians is 10k which we won't meet.
But so what? A country of 330m can't handle 100k more people? At least they'd be here officially unlike the 12m illegals.
