I agree Turkey is more Muslim than Russia... they don't care much in Instanbul, they care more to the money than to the mosques, perhaps they care on countryside... also being muslim could mean be a nicer guy than atheists, depends by the branch of islam they follow.
But, I was referring to the fact that when it comes to trusting what anyone said, from the top level politician to the taxi driver, I did noticed more lies (or, scams) on Turkey than in Russia, also I found the number of Turkish mega flags placed everywhere quite more nationalistic than you can see around Russia. In Turkey they arrested journalists and killed lawyers and activists in recent months, no need to go dig events of long time ago.
Now if I have to believe what Turkish authorities said, I have quite a big problem.

I don't think this is updated, Turkey should be way lower than Russia, in Turkey recently police raided all the newspapers and TV's which did not aligned with govt (which strangely win elections few months after losing them):

Now, with general consensus that the liar there it is most probably Turkey rather than Russia (the survived pilot said no contacts made), and that Turkey made this mainly because do not want Russia to bomb isis ISIS people who rape kids, enslave woman, cuts heads, burn alive the people, organise terror attacks in all the countries they can... I mean, ok Putin it may be not the ideal guy out there and his friend Bashar al-Assad killed people too, however, again, in this especially lose-lose bad situation, using relativistic comparison, the less-bad and less-liar guys there are the Russians, and if you ask me, I wish russians (perhaps together with chinese) invade Syria, execute all ISIS guys (just 50,000, so few, and all raped kids, compare with millions refugees they caused), then estabilish a dictatorship where people can live and prosper safe, as long as not questioning who is the ruler. Or, do you want to "bring democracy" there?
