There's even an important distinction between a TV and a cross-dresser. A cross-dresser is simply a man (I'm not sure if the term includes women or not tbh) who dresses in women's clothing. A transvestite is a man who dresses AS a woman. Eddy Izzard is a cross dresser, Boy George was a transvestite.
