When we were little, this happened anyway. If a person was even just overweight, kids would stop and stare and point, people would snicker etc. Today, we have to give them handicapped parking and applaud their courage and give them free motorized scooters to go buy more junk food as they avoid exercise.
Who remembers those Special K commercials??? "can you pinch an inch?" - we are almost to the point today that you get shamed for having low body fat.
Oh how far we've fallen............... imagine running these ads today and the confusion and outrage they would cause
