Creators of a smart suitcase are hoping to change the way holidaymakers travel after introducing a brand new design which allows owners to control their smartphone with the handle.
The Floatti case, which the Los Angeles-based designers claim is a world first, is hard shelled and has a built-in charger for devices as well as a detachable electronic compartment for laptops and smartphones that aims to keep travellers moving quickly through security lines quickly.
The design, which was set up on Kickstarter on Tuesday, also features a handle that has hooks to hold both coats and bags, and advanced wheels with a suspension system - a world first which allows the case to glide down stairs easily
On the case, which has as a built-in charger for devices, there are touch controls to allow users to keep connected to their smartphones, make calls, access maps and send messages, simply by touching the handle.
The modern case features GPS tracking, allowing travellers to locate their luggage, passport, camera or phone, if lost
The bag is offered in either black, red, cream or navy and comes in both cabin and hand luggage sizes.
Floatti is even fitted with a built in scales to weigh itself before you reach the airport.
The bag is also equipped with a security alarm, which can be set off at the touch of a button - or from the suitcase smart handle.
Floatti industrial designer Andrea Ponti said: 'We spent an extensive amount of time studying how people use their suitcase and the problems they have.
