I once worked for a company that ran 24/7 so they had interesting shifts. My shift ran Sun, Mon, Tuesday and every other Weds from 6pm to 6am. On the shorter weeks it rocked because I got off work at 6am Weds morning and didn't have to be back to work until 6pm Sun night. The two weeks a month I had that extra day, you can wear down a little.
That said, I know for sure I was more productive working 3 days at 12 hours a day that I was when I was working 5 days at 8 hours a day.
