Actually AFAIK he is a Dagestan not a Chechen one, but it doesn't make a difference. The EU government have always been in love with radical Islamists from Russian North Caucasus and was ready to give them a shelter. To be honest, the US government was not better. When we called them "terrorists" and
fought them in their holes, your media has called them "rebels" and gave them a citizenship on right and left. Do you remember Boston bombers? Both had the US citizenship although both were in terrorist base in Russia and they were reported to the US secret service a few years before the bombing.
