One thing is you need to get moving on things.
Sept 8th is not long away.
You are looking at about 1 month and 2 weeks.
So you will need to get stuff sent out as soon as you can, otherwise before you know it, it will be Sept 8th.
If you are planning on getting t-shirts done, they need to be done by Aug 1st, as then you have to send them out (lets say that takes 7 days to deliver), then models need to be shot in them (that may take a week or two to book models and shoot them). By the time they are photographed and uploaded to twitter and so on, your almost at the start of Sept.
And the problem then is sites that may want to take part may only have noticed this promotion.
So things need to move fast now. As in urgent.
You may have set Sept 8th as a bit too soon.
Also magazines may not get the story in time for publication before the event.
You realy need pics of models in #FreePornDay t-shirts circulated as soon as you can to all the media.
