"Time to do Something" is how we ended up wasting 3 Trillion dollars in Iraq. It is not time to do "something", it is time to have a specific plan of action with a cohesive group of international partners that isolates these groups, blocks their funding and eradicates their members. That isn't just 'do something', because do 'something' is almost as dangerous a mindset as do nothing.
Don't let these assholes scare you. Terror is a consensual act. They can't make you terrified, only you can do that. When you aren't terrified, terrorism is not much different than the number of unfortunate car accidents that happen each year. We don't do "something" about car accidents in a hurry, we intelligently plan, test and implement a sensible strategy to limit or eliminate them completely.
